Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Cut top panel material for box spring covers and panel material per established work instructions according to production schedule using a hand-held electric knife. Cut foam, mattress and box spring panels to a desired size as needed.
Assemble the cover and the required foam that is on the panel cart.
Measures and cut multiple layers of material according to specifications and to minimize scrap.
Measure and inspect finished pieces.
Lift, carry, move/push cart, and place various materials and components in appropriate areas and/or workstations.
Organize and/or stock raw materials in the work area, follow departmental housekeeping requirements, and leave the work environment and equipment clean at the end of shift.
Functional/Technical Competencies
Use of pneumatic tools and hand tools
Basic ability to read, write and understand English
Must be at least 18 years of age
High School graduate or equivalent GED
Prior experience in sewing/textile industry
Job Factors/Work Environments
Work requires minimum of 100% efficiency. The job is repetitions and work involve regular moving of moderately heavy materials. Work also involves exposure to usual hazards found in a manufacturing environment.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to where legally required, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
